Coronavirus Updates

Information for our customers during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic

July 1, 2020

As of Wednesday, July 1, we are once again opening the lobby at the main bank and the IGA branch for regular business. We ask that anyone entering the bank lobby in either location to please wear a mask and maintain social distancing. We have masks and sanitizer available for anyone who would like to utilize them while conducting business. Our staff remains committed to offering you a safe and pleasant experience, so we will remain masked at this time. Thank you for understanding!

Due to our role in providing banking and financial services, Farmers State Bank & Trust Co. has been deemed an essential business and will continue to be fully operational.

However, to fully comply with the Governor’s “Stay at Home Order” and to maintain minimum basic operations while practicing social distancing, we feel it only prudent to close our branch located inside the Mt. Sterling IGA, close our lobby at the Versailles branch, and open our lobby at our main branch, for essential business, by appointment only.

To obtain access to the lobby to conduct business with a loan officer or new accounts rep, or to obtain access to your lock box, simply call our main office at (217)773-3319 and inform us when you plan to arrive.

Additionally, the night drop at IGA will be open and checked regularly. To accommodate those customers who utilize our IGA branch from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, we will be keeping our main bank drive-thru open until 6:00 PM Monday- Friday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this trying time, if you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. As your community bank, we wish to be here to assist you with any financial challenges you or your business may be experiencing.

We have opened our back walk-up window. While we are keeping our lobby open at this time, we request customers utilize both our drive-thru and walk-up windows whenever possible.

Please only use the lobby as necessary: for instance, when opening and closing accounts, meeting with loan officers, accessing your lock box, etc.

We continue to monitor the situation and may adjust our operations as needed, but will remain open and accessible to our customers.

We realize the potential negative impact this pandemic has on several of our small businesses, as well as customers who may be temporarily out of work. To assist with short term cash flow concerns, Farmers State Bank & Trust Co. will offer NO FEE payment extensions for up to three months for business, installment, and other personal loans. If you're interested in taking advantage of this payment extension program, or to find out additional details, please feel free to contact any of our loan officers: Tim Woodward, Brian Geisler, Jim Rischar, or myself.

Additionally, please be aware we are prepared to continue to operate at full or limited capacity as this pandemic progresses.

As we prepare for the COVID-19 coronavirus situation, we want to share some information with you about our plans to provide you with the level of service you've come to expect from us at Farmers State Bank & Trust Co. We are currently operating at full capacity, and intend to continue normal operations for as long as the health and safety of our staff and you, our customers, are not at risk.

You're probably already familiar with most of the ways you can interact with us. For those in-person visits, we're taking extra steps to keep all areas clean and sanitary. If necessary, additional precautions will be implemented to ensure your safety, including the availability of protective masks and gloves.

In the event that we must begin limiting direct contact, we'll make additional services available at our drive-up locations, as well as opening the walk-up window at the rear of the main bank. You can visit any of our ATMs for a quick balance inquiry or cash withdrawal, and you can conduct business over the phone by calling us at any of our branches. For a list of ATMs, bank locations, and phone numbers, click here.

If you prefer to interact with us electronically, we have a suite of connected options to assist you. If you have not already done so, you can sign up for our free online banking platform, which includes optional access to BillPay and e-Statements. We have a mobile app available for download in your app store, which will give you access to your account balances, as well as the ability to transfer funds, make loan payments, send money to others, and set access restrictions on your debit cards.

Finally, if you do become ill due to the coronavirus, please reach out to us so we can help you explore options to maintain financial stability while you recover.

The coronavirus pandemic is a rapidly-evolving situation. Through this unprecedented time, we will do our best to keep you updated on any changes to our operations. We will post new information at all our branches, as well as on this page. Additionally, you can follow us on Facebook for updates, or email us at info@fsb-tc.com to be added to our contact list.
